Hey, whats going MPLers? We've just passed the
midpoint in Season V.
The contenders are separating from the pretenders. In this weeks
Game of the Week, we have two coaches who have already been
featured, Ducati and his Broncos, and XRated and his 'Hawks. Let's see
how this one
breaks
down.
The Seahawks (XRated)
OFFENSE
XRated comes into this game with arguably the best offensive player in the game, outside of
LT. Mr. Shaun Alexander plays like a man among boys sometimes, but Ducati is just no "boy." Shaun will have to
get going in order to give Matt Hasselbeck some time back there against this ferocious Bronco defense.
XRated has shown he has the ability to adjust when Alexander doesn't play up to MVP
capabilities every game, and he will have to do that here. Obviously Ducati will be eyeing Shaun, so
the wide receiver's of the Seahawks will have to come up big against a very good
Denver Secondary.
Key Offensive Players:

|
| Matt Hasselbeck

Joe Jurevicious

DEFENSE
The Seahawks have been great on defense this year, except for last
weeks game against Moneyball's
Raiders. But not many teams have that kind of offense.
Ducati and the Broncos are up there though, so hopefully XRated has
learned from last weeks defensive debacle. Jake Plummer and Tatum
Bell lead the way for Ducati. The front four of the Seattle defense
will have to play big this week, in order to keep Bell from reaching
the next level with his speed, and not make sure Plummer does not get
comfortable.
Key Defensive Players:

| Grant Winstom

Rocky Bernard

The Broncos (Ducati)
OFFENSE
As said, Ducati is led by the QB/RB duo of Jake "The Snake" Plummer,
and quick footed Tatum Bell. Plummer has put up some amazing
numbers this season (Almost Vick Like...haha, it's my feature so I had
to throw that in), and Bell always seems to get his yards and
TDs. If these two can play like they have been all year, the Seattle
defense will
have no idea what to do, and will be headed for their second straight
lost.
Key Offensive Players:

|
|
| Jake Plummer

Tatum Bell

DEFENSE Ducati's
defense has arguably been the best defense so far in
the MPL. He's posted two shutouts, and held David Carr and the Texans
to zero passing yards, and 46 rushing yards in a game this year. Trevor
Pryce and Al Wilson will have to keep Shaun Alexander under wraps, so
he cannot have a good day. If he has a good day, and
the Seattle offense gets rolling, we'll have to see if Ducati can
adjust to an offense
that's moving the ball.
Key Defensive Players:
|
|
| Trevor Pryce
|
Al Wilson

Key Matchup: Shaun
Alexander against Al Wilson
Closing Statement:
Though XRated has Shaun Alexander on his side, and a
game last season where he knocked off an undefeated Rashad, I don't
think he can pull this one off. The Broncos just have too much on both
sides of the ball, and they will come out with the victory in this one.
OUTCOME: 38-21,
Broncos
