The Jets and rookie coach Tyson had their "statement" game against Cleveland last week, showing the world there team is a force to be reckoned with. But the Bucs and coach Henry would like to see a little more evidence before welcoming the Jets into the club of elite teams. Great opportunity for the Jets. Beat the Bucs at home, and there's no question now that you're for real. Get romped, though, and you're just a decent team who took advantage of a week squad last week.
The Bucs (Blu Pun)

OFFENSE
The Bucs cannot rely on being a horizontal passing team. Most of their throws have been 10 yards or less from the line of scrimmage. They have not attacked down the field. The receiver they must count on to stretch the field is Joey Galloway who should be used a lot more in the slot. The Bucs can get a favorable matchup with Galloway in the slot. The running game has always been the foundation of the Blu Puns offense. Historically, their big plays come off play-action passing. If they establish the run with Carnell”Cadillac” Williams, they can disorient the Jets' defense and Pun can manufacture points.
Key Offensive Players:
Joey Galloway Carnell Williams
DEFENSE
The Bucs can't give Laveranues Coles the Jets best offensive player, any space or he will run over them. They must at least make him work for those big catches. Pun will need to have a safety deep as a safety valve at all times.. The Bucs must get better, more physical play from their secondary or Coles will kill them. The Bucs must get people in Pennington's face, especially on third down. Against the Browns on third down, the Jets' quarterback was six-for-seven for 113 yards, making some terrific throws. The Buccaneers , however, can break him down if they can get people around him.
Key Defensive Players:
Simeon Rice Ronde Barber
The Jets (SCTrojanfan)

OFFENSE
Free up Coles from double and triple coverage, put him in motion and use him in different formations and sets so the Bucs can't line up and track him easily. If a wide receiver stays stationary, the defense can focus on him and roll coverage to him. But if the Jets put Coles in motion out of the backfield and from the slot, they could create mismatches for him. The Jets must make sure Coles is not a stationary target. Yes, he's strong , fast and awesome -- but you have to keep the Bucs 'D' guessing. The Jets need to wear that defense down and control the clock, which means heavy doses of rookie sensation Leon Washington. The Jets can compete in a shootout, but they don't want to give the Bucs and expierenced offensive coordinator Blu Pun too many chances.
Key Offensive Players:
Laverneus Coles Leon Washington
DEFENSE
The Jets defense has to find a way to take away that running game if it wants to be successful. If I were the coach, I'd tell my guys that if we're going to lose, the running game won't be what did us in. I would make Simms or Rattay or Gradkowski whichever Quarterback Pun decides to use beat me and he may, but I'd rather take my chances with him than the Bucs running backs. The Jets need to create turnovers on defense or special teams. While the Jets offense can score on anybody, their defense has been questioned in the past. If the defense can force turnovers, the Jets' offense will have more opportunities to score.
Key Defensive Players:
Jonathan Vilma Shaun Ellis
Key Matchup:
VS
Carnell “Cadillac” Williams against Jonathan Vilma
JonathanVilma is going to be the deciding factor in whether Carnell will be the Cadillac or the Pinto. If Vilma can shadow Williams and force Pun to make his Tampa Bay Buccaneers a one-dimensional team the Jets will have no problem stopping this offense. Vilma has the speed and awareness to lock down any running back in the league, but the crafty veteran knows many ways to manipulate defenses and get the ball to his star, ultimately whoever comes out on top of this head to head battle will be in the drivers seat to win the game.
Outcome:
The jets will be looking to prove themselves against a true MPL all-star this week after rolling over the browns last week. This game will be a hard fought struggle between divisional rivals each trying to take hold of the divisional lead. I believe the Bucs wont be able to stop Coles, hes gonna go off and have 7 receptions for 140 and 2 td’s. Also, looking deeper into the Bucs defense I’ve noticed some serious holes on that defensive line, and with the Jets big strong O-line, I think Leon Washington rushes 22 times for 90 yards which will be enough to sustain long drives and keep the Jets rolling. Don’t get me wrong im sure Pun will have his team moving the ball and getting stops but this rookie coach Tyson is gonna bring his games face. That’s why I’ve picked the J-E-T-S to win this one in a nailbitter.
Jets win this one 21-20
